Are you ready to fall in love with your calendar?
Let me ask you this: what is it that you want more of? For me and for many of my clients, it’s time.
We not only want time to work on the business we love and serve our clients. We also want time to spend with our family, time to rest and take care of ourselves, time for long walks, time to read great books, and time for romantic date nights with our spouses.
What if I told you that there is a way that you can do all of those things, run a successful business and have time to just … breath? Because there is.
Let me tell you a story.
When I first launched my business in 2018 it took me a year to get my website up. I spent so many hours trying to make it perfect, being distracted, confused about what to write, being overwhelmed and doing things haphazardly.
Do you know how I felt at the end of my work day? Drained. Exhausted. And sometimes I couldn’t stop thinking about the website even at night, so I wasn’t enjoying my time with my family and spouse.
Why did it take me a year? Because I didn’t have a plan, nor a strategy. I hadn’t decided on a deadline and I hadn’t decided on how I was going to get it done.
This time around when I did my website it took me 2 days. 2 days! Instead of spending hours upon hours on my website, I made a plan, decided on what to do and when, how much time I was going to give myself, and I put it in my calendar.
And this really is the magic of planning, constraining your time, and using your calendar. Because what is does is help you create results in rapid speed.
It creates focus, speed and momentum. And when you get your things done in less time you get to use that time you now freed up on all the other things you love doing.
And you are no longer exhausted at the end of the day. When you leave work or shut down your computer you are done. You have finished everything you said your were going to finish and all the noise of things you “should” do is now quiet.
This is why I love my calendar. It gives me more time to enjoy all parts of my life.
